Exhibiting at Stal Gallery

Stal Gallery seek engagement with curators, artists and audiences nationally and internationally. The support of artists and providing engaging and exciting programming are paramount to the operation of the space. To achieve this, Stal Gallery biannually assess public submissions from artists and curators seeking cooperation. Submissions are reviewed by Stal gallery panel of consultants that subsequently make recommendations for the upcoming projects and exhibitions programme. We are interested to learn about projects by local, regional, national and international artists and curators.

Residency at Stal

Studio Stal offers a dedicated residential space in the heart of Muscat for national and international artists. Launched in 2013 Studio Stal supports professional contemporary artists in a welcoming environment, which facilitates peer interaction with local artists and the creation and development of new work either as a stand alone initiative or for exhibition at Stal Gallery. Studio Stal provides a facility that will serve as a destination point for creative people looking to expand their artistic endeavours in a professional environment. The studio consists of a fully equipped kitchen, separate bedroom and bathroom along with a large studio and exhibition space. Artists also have full access to all the Stal Gallery facilities and Stal Gallery also welcomes the potential for collaboration and exhibition within the Stal Gallery space. The studio is offered free of charge in exchange for talks and workshops as part of our education and outreach programme or for the donation of art work towards our permanent collection.
